This crop is coming in beautifully. It’s about 4′ tall but we’re cutting it at around 30″ because, really, who needs all that stem?
Things are finally drying out around here and I’m dragging hoses all over the place!
I’m still planting new items for fall … found a cherry red rudbeckia that I think will be a great color addition to the gold and rust ones I usually grow for September.
Celosias (cockscomb) are going to be ready soon. Green, rose, gold, red, orange … Well, every color actually.
The Kale is growing great and we’ll start picking as soon as it starts heading.
Fall lisianthus is awesome. It should be ready in late September but it”s growing so fast, I don’t really know. Colors are: single deep purple, single green, double white and double blue.
Also, remember that red okra? Well, it survived the flood and looks like we’ll have a good crop this year.
More later … off to work.
